According to CNNMoney, at least eight new states have asked Amazon
to change sales tax on its orders. California and Pennsylvania sales tax will go into effect starting in September, New Jersey and Virginia will begin in July and September 2013, respectively. After next year, Indiana, Nevada, and Tennessee will collect sales taxes beginning in January 2014, and South Carolina in January 2016.
While this won't affect all of you, if you are in California or headed there (like me) or in Pennsylvania, you might want to go ahead and order books or anything else that you were planning on getting from Amazon
a little early because tax can really up the price.
