Don’t let your budget limit your happiness!!! So often in college (and in general) social outings are going out for a meal or spending money on an activity such as a trip to the movies or a concert. Many a times, I have seen people (myself included) who give up social opportunities because they are too tight on the budget. Here are some of my favorite social activities that are free (or really cheap!). Chances are you aren’t the only one of your friends who thinks an activity might be too costly so suggesting one of these activities gives everyone the chance to participate! Comment your own favorite cheap or free activities :)
Join a bible study
Have a baking party where everyone brings a recipe and ingredients
Pack a picnic for the beach or a local park
Join a book club at your local library
Host a potluck and movie night
Go to an open dress rehearsal for your local theatre
Volunteer somewhere with your friends.
